The name “Dayspring” is an old English word meaning “Sunrise”
It is found in the Bible in Luke 1:78 where the father of John the Baptist predicts the birth of Jesus and says “A new day will dawn on us from above because our God is loving and merciful.”
When somebody comes to trust in Jesus Christ, it is like a new day has come, with a glorious sunrise. A day of hope based on the unchanging promises God.
